Physical, mental and social wellbeing are all beneficiaries of playing golf, and in so many variations but so often people forget to acknowledge the risks that can be associated with playing the sport.

Playing golf for four to five hours a day brings an extended exposure to UV light from the sun and as with being on the beach whilst holidaying, this brings an increased risk of developing skin cancer. However, golfers often forget to take the necessary precautions that they would normal take when they’re on holiday or in the heat.

The European Tour Performance Institute (ETPI) has released a video with useful tips and advice on how best to protect yourself, prevent health risks from playing and enjoy the sport even more!
